Whiskey Smoked Sea Salt Caramel Dip

1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
¾ teaspoons Whiskey Smoked Sea Salt. (to taste)
1/4 cup cold water
Combine the sugar with 1/4 cup cold water and stir to combine in a saucepan set over medium-high heat, Cook, without stirring, until the sugar turned a deep amber color, should take approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
Warm the cream in a small pan. When the caramel is ready, add the cream, butter, and salt together, and then whisked this mixture into the caramel all at once while simmering
And you're done! It really is that quick and simple.
Just be sure to allow for cooling before eating. But it is best served warm. (or cold ;-) for ice cream!
