Pitmaster Dave's innovation takes center stage with this Booze-Infused Key Lime Pie Fudge!
The bold tanginess of key limes dances in harmony with tequila, creating a fudge that's a true crowd-pleaser! This recipe showcases a playful balance between citrusy brightness and the richness of fudge, leaving you craving more after every square.
Ingredients
- 2 Bags of White Chocolate Chips
- 6 oz Condensed Milk
-
3 oz of Tequila (I Used Margaritaville Lime)
- 1 oz Patron Lime
- Liquor
- 3 Tablespoons of Lime or Key Lime Juice
- 8 x 8 Pan
-
Chili Lime Beer Salt
-
Lime Beer Salt
Directions
In a large microwave-safe bowl, place the white chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second increments.
After each 30-second interval, take the bowl out and stir the chocolate chips. Continue microwaving and stirring until the white chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Once the white chocolate is melted, add the sweetened condensed milk to the bowl.
Add the tequila (Margaritaville lime) and Patron lime liquor to the mixture. (If using liquor, ensure you have 6 oz of sweetened condensed milk.)
- Work quickly to mix the ingredients in the bowl until they are thoroughly combined.
- Evenly pour the fudge mixture into the prepared 8 x 8 inch pan.
- Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth out the fudge, ensuring an even layer.
Place the pan in the refrigerator. Allow the fudge to refrigerate for 2-3 hours until it is completely set.
For best results, it's recommended to refrigerate overnight as it tends to set up better.
Once the fudge is set, lift it out of the pan.
With a sharp knife, cut the fudge into 1-inch squares.
When serving, sprinkle some Lime Beer Salt or Chili Lime Beer Salt on top of the fudge for added flavor.
- Serve and enjoy the delicious Key Lime White Chocolate Fudge!
Recipe Note
- Store any leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Consume the fudge within 2 weeks for the best taste and texture.
- Feel free to adjust these instructions as needed and enjoy your homemade Key Lime White Chocolate Fudge!
Measure out the milk to 6 oz. If you use more when using any liquor, it tends to be runny and not set up as well. The pan size can be bigger if you want thinner fudge chunks. This can be adjusted to use any chocolate chips and liquor. For example, chocolate chips and peanut butter whiskey, which is another hit with my guests!
