This week we tried making Ma Deuce Steak in the dishwasher, which we had seen online and wanted to try for ourselves. The result was one of the best steaks we've ever had! The dishwasher acted as a sous vide, cooking the steak to a perfect medium-rare. Allhat was left was to butter sear it and boom an amazing steak!
Ingredients
-
Ma Deuce Steak Seasoning
-
New York Strip
-
Clean Dishwasher
-
Olive Oil
-
Butter
-
Cast Iron Pan
-
Tongs
Directions
Let the New York Strip cool down to room temperature and season with Ma Deuce Steak Seasoning.
Once seasoned up, put it inside of the vacuum seal bag.
Put it on the top rack right up in the middle of the dishwasher and set it to normal wash.
Note: Make sure there are no soap or dirty dishes inside.
Once done, cut open the vacuum sealed bag and pat dry the NY Strip.
Heat up your cast iron pan and drizzle some olive oil.
Once heated up, throw in the NY Strip.
Add in some butter and continue to sear.
Once you get that perfect color on the sear, put in a rack or cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Slice the NY Strip and you'll see a wall-to-wall pink and a perfectly medium-rare with a good seer steak.
Pair it with your favorite drink and enjoy!
