One of my favorite things to do is make something out of nothing. When we had leftover queso oaxaca from our Oaxaca Chorizo Grilled Cheese I wanted to do something fun with it. As soon as I opened the pantry I saw the hotdog buns and it came together, well kinda.
My first thought was to stick it in a cast iron and make it like a grilled cheese but that would be boring. And with it being last at night while making this I thought of the drunken nights of going to Waffle House or Ihop and it hit me, Waffle Iron! After some butter and Willie Pete the next thing you know I was scarfing these things down.
So next time you got the munchies or wanna impress the kids but out your waffle iron and get to work! (You can also use string cheese too).
