Ingredients

1 c water

1 c Gourmet Whiskey Smoked Sugar

1 c frozen or fresh raspberries

2 limes, zested and juiced

1 pinch of Gourmet Whiskey Smoked Sea Salt

Lime Beer Salt
Directions
Simple syrup
In a small saucepan, heat the water and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
Add in the Gourmet Whiskey Smoked Sugar, raspberries, lime zest and juice, and Gourmet Whiskey Smoked Sea Salt to the saucepan. Mix well and let it simmer and reduce down, about 30 - 40 minutes. (Make sure the raspberries are broken down!)
Place a strainer over a jar and strain the seeds out of the raspberry syrup. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes, then place in a small jar for storage in the refrigerator.
To mix the cocktail:
In a cocktail shaker, add 2-3 tsp simple syrup and 1 shot of gin (We used Steel Hands Oaked Gin; try it out! You won’t regret it!), some ice, and shake it up. Pour into a cocktail glass and add 3-4 ounces of tonic, if desired.
Garnish with fresh raspberries and a small lime wedge
Optional: For added umami, dust the rim with Gourmet Whiskey Smoked Sea Salt or Lime Beer Salt.
