Smoked Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients

1¼ Cup Pure Maple Syrup (Dark Or Grade B Preferred – Costco Jug Is Perfect)

½ Tsp Gourmet Whiskey Smoked Salt

¾ Cup Packed Dark Brown Sugar

4 Large Eggs
-
⅓ Cup Bourbon
-
2 Tsp Vanilla
-
8 Oz 60–70% Dark Chocolate, Half (4 Oz) Melted With ¼ C Butter, Half (4 Oz) Chopped

2½ Cups Pecan Halves
Directions
Preheat the smoker (or oven) to 375F.
Go ahead and begin slowly melting 4 oz of the dark chocolate with ¼ c butter. Be sure to check it often and stir to ensure the mixture does not burn.
In a large mixing bowl, add the maple syrup and dark brown sugar. Blend well.
Add the eggs and whisk until well blended.
Add the bourbon, vanilla, and salt and mix well.
Pour in your melted chocolate/butter and mix well. Add the chopped chocolate and mix.
Add the pecan halves and stir until well coated.
Pour the mixture into a prepared pie crust and bake for 30 - 45 minutes.
